Such was true for a man who recently realized that traps are sometimes more trouble than they are worth. He set a small trap, hoping to catch a rabbit or something similar. Instead, the trap caught a timber wolf, one of nature’s most fierce predators. The man knows he has to release the wolf, but doing so in a way that is safe for all involved would be difficult.
A genius scheme is hatched by the hunter and his associates. They fashion a piece of plywood into an effective barrier between the hunter releasing the wolf and the wolf’s fearsome teeth. They cut a small hole in the bottom edge of the board for the wolf’s paw to safely reach through, and they place the board on the ground at the base of the chain holding the trap. They slowly move the board along the chain closer and closer to the wolf, who understandably reacts with fear and aggression…
