Are You Ever Naked In Your Dreams? Here’s What It Means (And It’s Not Good)

You’re walking through the halls of your school, down the street, or about to give a presentation at work, and suddenly you realize that you’re totally naked, and everyone is staring at you!

You don’t realize that you’re actually sleeping, of course, so you begin to freak out.

Naked dreams like this are incredibly common, so you’re not alone, but they do reveal quite a bit about your emotional state, particularly when it comes to how you react in the dream.

Metaphoric Dream Symbols:

  • Afraid of being exposed
  • Shame with yourself
  • Guilty in a situation
  • Vulnerable with friends, business or relationship
  • Trying to be something that you are not
  • Not comfortable with your body
  • Scared of being noticed

Understanding Your Naked Dream:

Accountability:

“The state of being accountable; liability to be called on to render an account; the obligation to bear the consequences for failure to perform as expected”.

If you are feeling accountable or possibly exposed in areas like your relationship or even workplace, being naked might be a symbol used as a metaphor. If you can recall the location of where you were naked it might help to identify where the issue might be coming from.

Rejection:

“The act of rejecting or the state of being rejected”.

Your fears about being rejected in life enhances your chances of having a naked dream. Nobody likes getting rejected in life, but the ones who fear it to the point where it consumes their day to day activities might end up having this dream. Your dream would usually turn out where you are stark naked and everybody is laughing at you.  These realistic dreams are vivid for a reason for you to pay attention to what you are doing in your walking life.

Shamefulness:

“Causing shame; disgraceful”.

Are you afraid that people will expose you? If you are covering up something and afraid of being caught in your life you might run across a naked dream. People who hide secret information might unconsciously fear being discovered. It’s also possible that you might get “exposed” if somebody finds out something about you. People who over analyze themselves in situations might also come across this dream.
