For people who over-work themselves, mornings are generally the time of the devil. We never want to get out of bed at society-approved hours. However, having a sloppy morning affects the activity levels for the rest of the day. It is important that we start our day with a strong foot forward, in order to balance out the tidings of the hours to come.
Here are 15 tips on how to improve and increase the productivity level for the day, starting in the morning.
1. Get Out Of Bed Early
Now, I know this sounds like I just asked you to eat broccoli or something. Truth is, there is a reason why this is a popular norm. Making your body clock come back to normal and lead to a very refreshing day, waking up earlier than usual can definitely increase the productivity level for your day, even though you may think otherwise.
2. Keep Away From Your Phone
It has been scientifically proven that social media is making us more depressed. The first thing you see in the morning should not involve a barrage of hate messages on Twitter or your Facebook news feed.
3. Be Grateful
Stop and appreciate what you have. Take a moment each morning, to take time off the race, and appreciate how far you have gotten.

4. Do One Thing That Makes You Smile
It could be petting your dog, or reading a few pages from a new book. My go-to activity in the morning is waking up before everybody else, and standing at the balcony with a warm cup of coffee nestled between my palms.
5. Ask Yourself Important Questions
What is on your self-love agenda today? How could you make your to-do list seem fun? How much time are you going to allot for your mental health?
6. Create A Routine
It is not just enough to have a rough idea of what you’re going to do on that day. Unless you plan out the timings of the task, you are only setting an extremely unrealistic goal for yourself to achieve.
7. Strategize Your Goals
What is your next step in life? I, for one, like to live my life by a diagram. I need everything chalked into Venn diagrams, and pie charts. Sometimes, that’s problematic, but mostly, extremely rewarding.
8. Set Goals That Are Realistic
Unless you do that, you are setting yourself up to a lifetime of failed ventures. Nobody loves feeling unnecessarily inadequate, right? If you set realistic dreams, you have a higher chance of achieving them.
9. Meditation Is Key
There is a brilliant app called HeadSpace that guides you through meditative exercises. You can go from 5 minutes to 5 hours, or anywhere in between. It is easy to do, and highly effective in detoxifying your mental state.
Living in a chaotic space might seem convenient, but it is never advisable for a healthy lifestyle. In trying to de-clutter your household, you will find it to be a calming exercise, leading to the de-cluttering of your mind.
Most people think working out serves the sole purpose of losing weight. That could not be further from the truth. A healthy body positively affects our mind, making it a healthier unit.
12. Get Done With The Tasks You’ve Been Putting Off
The only thing worse than deadlines, is the day they all pile up into a gigantic mountain. Rid yourself of the tasks you have been putting off for days. It will give you much less to worry about.
13. Hug The People You Love And Care For
Consent is necessary. I’d like to mention that from the go. Hugging people you love will make you feel much happier, and an exchange of positive energy will take place.
14. Free Up Some Time For Yourself
You need to always have some me-time planned for you, each day. Just like your office and household tasks, your being needs your attention too. Spending time with yourself is imperative for a happy life.
15. Get Some Head-Start On The Night Before
Before you go to bed, arrange for all the things you will need in the morning. It not only saves time, but your future self with thank you immensely. Believe me, I have done that. Treat yourself the same way you’d treat your best friend.
