Beauty Hacks for Youthful Hands

One thing on your body that tells the whole world your age is your hands. For some reason, your hands age a bit more than other areas of your body, but there are a few things you can do to rectify this issue.

Wear Gloves

The combination of harsh cleaning soaps and hot water can do a number on your skin. Both factors usually end up drying your skin, and since you probably wash your dishes every day, you can see how this could become a problem.

Dry skin can actually crack and become easily damaged eventually developing deep lines. You want to do the best you can to avoid this, and you can do so easily by simply wearing cleaning gloves.

Fight Dryness

Dryness is not your friend, which was alluded to earlier, so you need to do your best to fight it. One way to fight this is to wear gloves, but gloves won’t keep your skin hydrated all day; too much sun exposure can dry out your skin among other things. This is the reason you should make sure you use a good moisturizing lotion.

There are a lot of lotions out there, so go for one with the best ingredients, like coconut oil, aloe vera, or CBD. You can even take things to the next level by looking for CBD topicals that incorporate additional moisture enhancing ingredients like aloe vera and coconut oil. Make sure you put your lotion on every so often during the day to keep your skin youthful.

Use Sunscreen

Sunscreen is important for your hands and the rest of your body. Your hands are normally exposed to sunlight even when it’s cold out. Sunlight is good since it does offer your body vitamin D in small doses.

The reason you want to worry about how much sunlight you get is because of the UV rays. These rays are harmful and can create free radicals in your skin. Free radicals can damage your skin cells, which could end up causing you to develop premature wrinkles.

Start Exfoliating

Dead skin is something most folks don’t worry about. Most people think all you have to do is wash your hands with soap and you are done. The problem is that dead skin doesn’t come off that easy sometimes, especially if you don’t exfoliate.

The buildup of dead skin on your skin can end up making your skin look dull and lifeless. Everyone wants their skin to look supple, flawless, and they want their skin to have that glow. Your chances of having that are increased if you don’t have layers of dead skin preventing your skin from shining as it should. You just need to make a sugar scrub, which is usually a paste made out of a moisturizing oil like coconut oil and regular sugar.

Nail Care

The state of your nails can give away your age a bit. Some folks don’t really pay attention to their nails, but you can’t be one of these individuals. There is a lot you can do to try to make your nails look as good as they can, such as having a manicure done every so often.

This is something you can pay for, or you can do it yourself if you’ve got the skill already. You don’t always have to choose an eye-catching polish; choose something conservative that doesn’t scream for attention. If you want something a little louder, choose a color like orange or red, which won’t highlight any veins, such as blue or blue-like colors.

Maintaining a youthful look does take a little work, but the end results can end up making you feel pretty good. Thankfully, most of these suggestions are easy to add to your hand-care routine and will have lasting effects on the appearance of your hands.
